The Fragile X Caucus
  • The Fragile X Caucus

    A congressional caucus is a group of members of the United State Congress that meets to pursue common legislative objectives and priorities. Caucuses are formed as congressional member organizations (CMOs) through the US House of Representatives.

    The Congressional Fragile X Caucus was formed in 2009 by Congressman Bill Delahunt (D-MA), Congressman Phil Hare (D-IL), and Congressman Gregg Harper (R-MS). The Congressional Fragile X Caucus focuses on raising awareness about Fragile X-associated Disorders and advocating for additional federal funding for research and development. Representatives Delahunt, Hare, and Harper serve as the co-chairmen of the Congressional Fragile X Caucus, which currently has ten members.
